Engine sounds ON MIC Fading off a bit (as if to be looking at a cell phone) Sirens fading on into the distance FADING OFF

CAR DRIVING Ashley: What are you doing? Are you texting? Tyler: Yeah its fine, don’t worry I do it all the time.  I’m a pro by now. Ashley: Tyler you really shouldn’t text when you are driving, it really isn’t safe. Tyler: Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah.  That’s why I type a few letters, then look at the road.  Then I type a few more letters then look at the road again.  Its easy, besides, nothing is going to happen to me. Ashley: Have you never seen those commercials?  They always say anything can happen in a split second.  Besides, one day something might happen to you. Tyler:  I’m just texting my dad and letting him know what I’m doing. Ashley:  Well can’t you just tell him when we get there?  Every time you look at your phone you put both of our lives in danger.  And you keep swerving into the middle of the road! CAR BEEPING Tyler: (affirmative)  Seriously Ashley, just don’t worry…. CAR CRASH SIRENS MALE VOICE: Texting and driving contributes to around 5000 deaths a year.  The text can wait.
