New Hampshire Fishing License. Get One

Fisherman of New Hampshire, the season is right around the corner. You wont be able to fish without a license!  Contact the Department of Fish and Game as soon as possible to get your license!

What is a vacation without going on a relaxing fishing trip with the family?  Fishing is something that has been bringing families together for years now.  However, a license to fish in the state if New Hampshire is required.  For those under the age of 16, the license is free!  The day someones turns 17, a license is required to fish at all.  Anyone from the age of 68 or above is eligible for a permanent license to fish for life.  Anyone who falls in the ages between 16 and 68 must pay the $53.00 for a full year.  A 1 day license is $15.00, a three day is $28.00 and a 7 day is $35.00.  All for a tiny piece of paper that lets you fish in any freshwater area.

The state of New Hampshire offers a "Let's Go Fishing" class for any adults or youth who are first time fishers looking to get a license.  The class is no charge and you can take it at any of the New Hampshire fish and game offices.  In the class you will learn about the newest and best equipment, fish ecology, knot tying, and most importantly safety.  You can also be instructed in freshwater fishing, fly fishing, and ice fishing.  The ultimate goal of the class is to promote responsible and ethical outdoor behavior.

It is important to make sure a fishing license is present with you when you go out.  Remember, you need a license for fishing, not for catching.  As soon as the line hits the water, you are fishing.  If you get caught by  New Hampshire fish and game officer, they could give you a citation for as much as $175.00 and no one wants to pay that,  So just make sure to have your license at all times.   $53.00 isn't that much when you look at how much the penalty is.
